EVERYTHING CLOSE BY

Our area is a typical inner city neighbourhood, and whilst not directly inside the Old Town - which is an easy 20min stroll away. Mariahilf, Vienna's 6th district is vibrant and dynamic with lots of small restaurants and shops, perfectly safe of course, and very central to what Vienna has on offer. Please see our guest reviews on TripAdvisor if you need to be convinced about the advantages of staying in this part of town.

Vienna's biggest shopping street Mariahilfer Strasse is only 5min walking distance (app 350m). This is where you can find lots of shops, restaurants, coffee houses, supermarkets, banks, and the subway stations (U3 Zieglergasse, and U3/U6 Westbahnhof) with direct access to Vienna's excellent public transport system and to all sights.

A famous restaurant quarter - Spittelberg - with lots of restaurants, bars, cafes, is in only 15min walking distance. Naschmarkt, Vienna's famous fruits and vegetable market and another restaurant area are within 15-20min walking distance.

U3 subway leads directly to the Old Town Center: It is only two stops to Ringstrasse with its grand imperial buildings, and the vibrant Museums Quarter - Vienna's cultural district with museums, restaurants, performances, festivals. It's three stops to Hofburg Imperial Palace (where the Habsburg family used to reside). And four stops will get you to the heart of the city "Stephansplatz" with its grand Gothic cathedral (about 10min). To Schoenbrunn Palace - the Habsburg's Summer Palace - it's only 5 tram stops (about 15min).

If you prefer walking: The distance between Stadtnest and the Ringstrasse Boulevard / Old Town is about 2km, which are easily to be reached by strolling down Vienna's newest pedestrian zone, Mariahilfer Strasse (about 15 to 20min); the distance Stadtnest - St. Stephan's Cathedral is about 3 km, and the distance Stadtnest -  Schönbrunn Palace is about 3.5 km.

Stadtnest is close to the urban beat of the city  and still far enough from the beaten tourist tracks. This enables you to experience the real Viennese side of the city as well.  Just like the Viennese themselves like to live!
